Minha Casa, Minha Vida to offer zero installments for Bolsa Família recipients
Under the 2026 rules for the Minha Casa, Minha Vida housing program, families receiving Bolsa Família or the Benefício de Prestação Continuada (BPC) may be eligible for zero-installment financing. This benefit specifically applies to the urban Faixa 1 category, which serves families with a gross monthly income of up to R$ 3,200.
To qualify for this exemption, income from Bolsa Família and BPC is excluded from the gross income calculation used to determine program eligibility. Once a contract is signed, the installment exemption can be maintained even if the family stops receiving the social benefits.
Interested individuals must keep their Cadastro Único (CadÚnico) updated and apply through local municipal authorities or non-profit organizing entities. While the Faixa 1 tier offers full or partial government coverage of property costs, the program also accommodates higher income brackets up to R$ 13,000 under different financing and subsidy conditions.
