The Brazilian comedy film ‘Minha Melhor Amiga’, starring Ingrid Guimarães and Mônica Martelli, has surpassed R$ 100 million at the box office. Directed by Susana Garcia, the film has attracted 5.62 million spectators in six weeks, marking Garcia’s third major commercial success with over 5 million viewers per film.

Beyond its commercial performance, the film has sparked discussions regarding menopause and the hormonal transitions experienced by women around age 50. Data from the Brazilian Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (Febrasgo) indicates that approximately 17 million women in Brazil are in climacteric, with about 9.2 million in post-menopause.
