Minho of SHINee appointed ambassador for Korean War remains excavation

Minho, a member of the K-pop group SHINee, has been appointed as the new public relations ambassador for the Ministry of National Defense's Remains Excavation and Identification Agency. The appointment was officially announced on August 27.

During the appointment ceremony held at the Seoul National Cemetery, Minho visited the identification center to learn about the progress and primary operations of the project to excavate and identify the remains of those killed during the Korean War. As ambassador, he will participate in major agency events and use his professional talents to raise public awareness regarding the mission to return fallen soldiers to their families.

Minho, who served in the Marine Corps starting in 2019, expressed that he feels a sense of pride and heavy responsibility in participating in this noble cause. He noted that his military service provided him with positive energy and mental strength.
