MINI announces 2027 1998 GT Edition limited-production model

MINI has announced the 2027 MINI 1998 GT Edition, a limited-production special model based on the Cooper C 2 Door. The designation “1998” refers to the vehicle’s 1,998cc turbocharged engine.

As part of the Icon Drops campaign, the edition features aesthetic and hardware upgrades inspired by the John Cooper Works (JCW) line. The exterior is finished in Midnight Black Metallic with bold orange lower-body graphics, GT badging, and a Gloss Black JCW aero kit. It also includes 17-inch JCW Sprint Spoke black wheels.

The interior is equipped with JCW Sport Seats in Black Vescin and Black Knit, a heated three-spoke JCW steering wheel with GT badging, and various branded accessories including floor mats, door sills, and a specific center console storage box. Production for the US market is scheduled to begin in October, with dealer arrivals expected in November.
