Mini unveils Countryman Untamed Edition adventure SUV

Mini has unveiled the Countryman Untamed Edition, a new adventure-oriented variant of its flagship SUV designed to celebrate 25 years of the brand's modern era under the BMW Group. The special edition features enhanced off-road capabilities, including a suspension lift that increases ground clearance by 15 to 19 millimeters depending on the market and powertrain.

Key technical upgrades include Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires mounted on exclusive 19-inch alloy wheels, and the ALL4 all-wheel-drive system. To accommodate these changes, Mini has recalibrated the ABS, stability control (DSC), and steering systems. The vehicle also features textured protective coatings on the wheel arches, sills, and hood, along with Dark Steel exterior accents.

Market availability varies by region. In North America, the suspension lift and all-terrain tires are standard for the edition. In Europe, the increased ground clearance is reserved for electric models (Countryman E and SE ALL4), while the all-terrain tires remain an option for combustion versions. Production is scheduled to begin in Leipzig, Germany, in November 2026, with a commercial launch expected in early 2027.

To support an outdoor lifestyle, Mini is offering camping accessories through partnerships with Autohome and Helinox, including specialized rooftop tents and camping gear.
