Ca Mau mini gas cylinder explosion injures three during family meal
A mini gas cylinder exploded during a family gathering in Cai Nuoc Commune, Ca Mau Province, on August 16. Approximately 15 family members, including children, were present when the explosion occurred, creating a large fireball that caused panic among those eating hotpot.
The incident resulted in three injuries. Two individuals, including a 12-year-old girl, sustained severe burns and were treated at Cai Nuoc General Hospital. A third person suffered minor injuries and has since been discharged.
Local authorities have conducted an investigation at the scene and are working to verify the circumstances. Officials have issued warnings to the public regarding fire safety, specifically advising against the use of damaged, old, or illegally refilled gas cylinders to prevent similar accidents.
