Mini introduces 1965 Victory Edition to honor Monte Carlo Rally win
Mini has introduced the 1965 Victory Edition, a special model line designed to commemorate the brand’s historic win at the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally by Timo Mäkinen and Paul Easter. The edition is available for the Mini Cooper S, Mini John Cooper Works, and the fully electric Mini John Cooper Works Electric.
The design features Chili Red paint paired with a white roof, white mirror caps, and a white trim stripe running from the hood to the tailgate. To honor the original rally car, the edition includes the number 52 as decals on the sides and a “1965 Victory Edition” inscription on the rear. Other distinctive elements include 18-inch wheels, exclusive valve caps, and “1965” branding on the C-pillar and door sills.
Inside, the vehicle includes custom details such as a driver-side door jamb sticker detailing the original rally-winning car's specifications and a custom key cap featuring the number 52. While the electric version is available globally, the U.S. market availability is limited to the gas-powered John Cooper Works configuration.
