MINI launches 1998 GT Edition special model
MINI has introduced the 1998 GT Edition, a special version released as part of the Icon Drops project. The model draws inspiration from the classic 1969 Mini 1275 GT, featuring a nod to its historical roots through its name, which references the 1998 cm3 engine displacement.
Based on the Cooper C, the edition features a black body kit with orange accents, 17-inch wheels, and specific branding stickers. The interior includes synthetic leather upholstery with vintage-style stitching, a JCW steering wheel, and branded accessories such as floor mats and key fob covers. While the engine remains unchanged, the vehicle utilizes brakes and suspension components designed by the John Cooper Works division to enhance handling.
