Mini Mathur discusses career impact of pregnancies

Television host Mini Mathur has shared how her pregnancies impacted her career opportunities with major networks. Mathur revealed that her five-year contract with MTV was not renewed during her first pregnancy, noting the sentiment that “VJs are apparently never pregnant.”

Mathur also stated that she lost a hosting position on Indian Idol during her second pregnancy. She claimed producers suggested she take a break because they believed Indian viewers were not ready to see a pregnant woman hosting the show. At age 54, Mathur has transitioned from hosting to participating in reality television, recently appearing as a contestant and winner on Alliance.
