Mini Me play shop and Metrocentre Peppa Pig experience close in UK

The Mini Me Children’s Role Play World, a popular kids’ play shop in Sutton Coldfield’s Gracechurch Centre, announced it will close permanently on 29 August 2026. Owner Helen Tsang said the venue, which opened in September 2023 and offered play sessions, SEN groups and community events, will host a farewell party before shutting its doors.

The Peppa Pig Surprise Party attraction at the Metrocentre in Gateshead, the first UK experience of its kind, opened in March 2026 and attracted large crowds. After just five months, the venue confirmed it will close on 9 August 2026, with a spokesperson expressing “great sadness” over the early shutdown.

Both closures affect families who had come to rely on the attractions for interactive play and community gatherings.
