Mini PC manufacturers showcase AI-capable hardware at IFA 2026

At IFA 2026, several manufacturers showcased new mini PC hardware with a heavy emphasis on local AI processing and high-capacity memory.

GEEKOM introduced the A5 2027 Edition, a productivity-focused mini PC featuring AMD Ryzen 7 7730U processors. The device supports up to 64GB of RAM, 7TB of storage, and quad-display setups, designed for long-term reliability in professional environments. GEEKOM also demonstrated an AI cluster, the Agent 4N, which connects four A9 Mega units via USB4 to run large AI models locally.

GMKtec unveiled the EVO-X5 Pro, a mini workstation equipped with an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495. The system features 192GB of unified memory, allowing up to 160GB to be allocated to the integrated Radeon 8065S graphics, specifically targeting the execution of large language models without cloud reliance. GMKtec also offered various entry-level and mid-range models at discounted prices on Amazon.

Additionally, Minisforum announced the UM750 Neo, which utilizes the AMD Ryzen Z1 chip—originally designed for handheld gaming—to power a compact desktop form factor.
