Mini Vikingo requires elbow surgery, canceling AAA title match

Wrestler Mini Vikingo has announced he requires surgery for an elbow injury, resulting in the cancellation of his scheduled AAA World Cruiserweight Championship match against Rey Fenix. The announcement occurred during the first night of AAA Héroes Inmortales at Gimnasio Olímpico Juan de la Barrera in Mexico City.

Vikingo revealed the injury occurred while competing in WWE NXT. The injury had previously prevented him from participating in a scheduled six-man tag team match on the October 20 episode of NXT. No specific timeline for his recovery or return to the ring has been provided.

Following the news, Rey Fenix stated he would attempt to retain the championship until Vikingo’s return. The AAA World Cruiserweight Championship will instead be defended in an open challenge during the second night of Héroes Inmortales.
