Minia Governor launches subsidized goods and school supply initiatives

Minia Governor Emad Kedwany has launched several initiatives to provide essential goods and school supplies at discounted prices to alleviate the financial burden on citizens.

As part of a food security effort, 400 tons of 12 basic commodities—including sugar, oil, flour, meat, and eggs—have been distributed across 24 branches of ‘Masriya Market’ throughout the governorate. These outlets offer discounts ranging from 10% to 30% compared to market prices.

Additionally, the ‘Ahlan Madaris’ (Welcome Schools) exhibition has been opened on the Nile Corniche. This exhibition provides school supplies and food items with significant discounts between 15% and 50%. The initiative is a collaborative effort involving the Minia Governorate, the Chamber of Commerce, and various ministries to support families ahead of the new academic year. The governorate plans to expand these efforts by establishing 80 exhibitions across different centers and villages throughout September.
