Minimalist living trends showcase garden homes and micro-apartments

Social media has highlighted two distinct approaches to modern living: a spacious garden home in Vietnam and a highly efficient micro-apartment in Hong Kong.

In Lam Dong province, Vietnam, a young couple has gained attention for their 144m² modern, minimalist home situated on a 6,000m² plot in Nghi Duc commune. The residence, built for approximately 850 million VND, emphasizes open spaces and natural light. A notable feature is a 15-year-old rambutan tree preserved in front of the porch, which serves as a central gathering spot for the family.

In contrast, a 9.2m² apartment in Hong Kong has attracted over 5 million viewers due to its extreme space optimization. The couple living there utilizes vertical storage, including floor-to-ceiling wardrobes and a bed designed with integrated storage compartments. Every centimeter is utilized, featuring a compact open kitchen and a small bathroom with distinct wet and dry zones to maximize functionality in a tiny footprint.
