MiniMed Group shares rise on strong fiscal 2027 first-quarter results

MiniMed Group, a medical device manufacturer specializing in diabetes care, reported first-quarter fiscal 2027 results that exceeded revenue expectations. The company booked net sales of $843 million, representing a 17% increase year over year. International net sales rose 18% to $603 million, while U.S. market sales reached $240 million, up 13% from the previous year.

Following the report, the company reached a breakeven point, improving upon a $19 million net loss in the same quarter last year. Growth was supported by the U.S. launch of the MiniMed Flex insulin pump, used in combination with the Simplera glucose monitoring device. Consequently, MiniMed raised its full-year revenue guidance to a projected 10.5% growth.

Financial analysts have responded positively to the results. Morgan Stanley raised its price target for the stock from $19.00 to $21.00, while UBS Group, BTIG Research, and Bank of America all increased their price objectives to $28.00. Citigroup also raised its target to $26.00. The company currently holds a consensus rating of ‘Moderate Buy’ among analysts.
