Mining companies advance copper exploration and development in US and Canada
Resolution Copper has awarded approximately US$110 million in contracts to Major Drilling and Redpath for underground development in Arizona. The contracts cover deep drilling and shaft conversion as part of an initial enablement package. This follows a larger investment program of nearly US$500 million following a land exchange, marking a transition from permitting and studies to physical construction and exploration.
In Canada, Azarga Metals Corp. has mobilized drill rigs and equipment for a diamond drilling program at its Marg Project in the Keno Hill mining district of the Yukon Territory. The program aims to test high-priority exploration targets to expand known mineralized zones containing copper, zinc, gold, silver, and lead. The initial phase involves over 3,000 metres of drilling across eight priority holes.
