Mining companies Antamina and Aris Mining receive regional health and safety honors

Mining companies Antamina and Aris Mining have received significant regional recognitions for their workplace health and safety management standards.

Antamina has become the first mining company in Peru and the region to obtain the Excellence 5Z Healthy Company seal from the International ORP Foundation (FIORP). The certification, awarded during the XXVI International ORP Congress in Argentina, follows an audit based on the 5Zeros model. This model evaluates five pillars: zero accidents, zero diseases, zero waste, zero inequality, and zero ignorance. The company is authorized to use the seal until September 2028.

In Colombia, Aris Mining was awarded the Healthy Company Distinction (DESAL) in its highest gold category. This recognition marks the first time a mining company in Colombia has achieved this level of certification for its management of work environments, covering its offices in Medellín and Bogotá. The DESAL model, implemented by the Colombian Society of Occupational Medicine and the Colombian Association of Lifestyle Medicine, evaluates holistic human care, including physical and mental health, emotional balance, and healthy lifestyle promotion.
