Mining companies launch geophysical surveys in Nevada and Western Australia
Sun Silver has completed a high-resolution helicopter-borne magnetic and radiometric survey at its Maverick silver project in Nevada, USA. The survey covered the company’s expanded landholdings and is intended to improve geological interpretation and refine drill targeting for future resource expansion. The project is located near the Carlin Trend and currently hosts a JORC Inferred Mineral Resource of 237 million ounces.
In Australia, Medallion Metals has launched its first helicopter-borne electromagnetic survey across the Ravensthorpe gold project in Western Australia. Covering approximately 120 square kilometers, the program targets gold-copper sulphide discoveries along the Mt Cattlin–Kundip–Trilogy corridor. The survey aims to identify conductive sulphide targets to guide exploration and drilling through 2026 and 2027.
