Mining companies report exploration progress in Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina
Sinda Ltd. has reported significant progress in its silver and gold project in the Guanajuato Mining District, Mexico. During the third quarter of 2026, the company completed approximately 31,150 meters of drilling as part of a 122,000-meter exploration phase. Notable results include a 3.05-meter intersection with a grade of 12.494 grams per tonne of silver equivalent in the Caracol area, marking the highest grade recorded to date in that zone. The company has also begun earthmoving operations to prepare an underground exploration ramp.
In Colombia, Collective Mining announced high-grade gold results at the Guayabales project in the Caldas department. Drilling in the Apollo deposit's Ramp zone intercepted 154.30 meters with a grade of 12.66 grams per tonne of gold equivalent. This includes a 30.45-meter interval with 39.01 grams per tonne of gold equivalent. The company is maintaining a 2026 exploration program of up to 90,000 meters and plans to begin constructing a three-kilometer underground exploration gallery in November.
FOMICRUZ S.E. has launched a new 4,000-meter drilling campaign at the San Agustín project in Santa Cruz, Argentina. Located in the western sector of the Macizo del Deseado, the campaign follows a period of geological and geophysical studies designed to improve subsurface interpretation and drilling precision. The initiative aims to update technical information and attract private investment to the region.
