Mining companies report significant mineral resource updates

American Tungsten has defined a mineral resource estimate (MRE) for the IMA Mine Project in the United States. The estimate includes an indicated resource of 316,000 tonnes at 0.55% tungsten oxide and an inferred resource of 2.18 million tonnes at 0.55% tungsten oxide, alongside significant silver content. The company aims to leverage existing infrastructure to strengthen the US critical minerals supply chain.

In Nevada, American Tungsten & Antimony has commenced wet table trials at the Del Sol refinery. These trials involve tungsten and antimony mineralization as the company works toward expanding ammonium paratungstate (APT) production and restarting its antimony flake circuit. Testing includes material from the Dutch Mountain project in Utah and the White Spar antimony mine.

In Western Australia, Empire Metals has upgraded its Pitfield Project mineral resource estimate, identifying it as the world’s largest titanium resource. The MRE covers the Thomas and Cosgrove deposits, totaling 8.16 billion tonnes at 4.3% titanium dioxide. The company has demonstrated an integrated flowsheet capable of producing titanium dioxide at over 99% purity.
