Mining expansion underway at Quilla Resources and AISA Group

Mining operations in Peru and Argentina are entering new growth phases. In Peru, Quilla Resources is scaling production at the Chapi mine. After restarting operations in February, copper cathode production has risen from 62 tons per month to 400 tons, with expectations to exceed 500 tons in August. The company aims to reach its nominal capacity of approximately 900 monthly tons of 99.999% pure copper by the end of the year, primarily for export to South Korea.

Quilla Resources is also conducting a drilling campaign of over 30,000 meters to extend the mine's lifespan by exploring the upper horizons of leachable copper. This effort focuses on a corridor spanning more than four kilometers in length.

In Argentina, the Gualcamayo mine, managed by AISA Group, is transitioning from a closure plan to an expansion phase. Following the acquisition of Minas Argentinas, the company is investing USD 665 million under the Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI) to develop the Deep Carbonates (DCP) underground deposit. Recent operational improvements have successfully reduced the cost per ounce sold from USD 2,400 to USD 1,150 while recovering gold from previously extracted mineral.
