Mining exploration expands in Argentina as ENAMI executive receives recognition in Chile

In Argentina, three mining companies are expanding exploration efforts in the Santa Cruz province. Minera Don Nicolás, Tres Cerros Exploraciones, and Minera Próximo Resources Argentina have obtained six prospecting permits covering approximately 19,179 hectares in the Macizo del Deseado region.

Minera Don Nicolás, which is linked to Cerrado Gold, is focusing on the Paula Andrea II and Goleta III areas. These new permits aim to expand geological knowledge in a district where the company already maintains an active production operation.

In Chile, Claudia Azola Portilla, the Manager of Safety and Sustainability at ENAMI, has been recognized by the Women in Mining (WIM) Chile initiative. Azola, a metallurgical civil engineer, was honored in the Industry/Executives category for her 20-year career focused on environmental management, safety, and sustainable development within the mining sector.
