Mining exploration updates reported in British Columbia

Mining companies operating in British Columbia have released updates regarding their ongoing exploration activities.

Kestrel Gold Inc. reported highlights from its 2026 surface exploration program at the 100%-owned QCM Property in the Manson-Germanson District. The program, conducted in partnership with Centerra Gold Inc., included regional soil sampling, prospecting, and structural mapping focused on the historical Flagstaff showing. To date, 784 Priority 1 soil samples have been collected, and 100 rock samples were obtained across the property.

Separately, Kodiak Copper announced the addition of a new target to its drilling program at the MPD Copper-Gold Porphyry Project in southern British Columbia. Following a 3D induced polarisation survey, the company identified a 900m untested chargeability anomaly adjacent to the South deposit. Drilling is currently underway to extend seven existing deposits, with results from the current exploration phase expected within a month.
