Mining firms expand drilling programs at uranium and copper projects in Southern Africa

Arkle Resources said its reverse‑circulation drilling programme at the Erongo uranium project in Namibia has been expanded to test additional targets, including western and eastern paleochannel zones and a primary ULG target. The company has completed 52 holes covering about 1,017 m of drilling and will send over 1,000 one‑metre samples for laboratory analysis, with results expected in early September 2026.

Belararox (now Vantage Metals) reported that airborne electromagnetic surveys have identified new copper drill targets at its Kalahari Copper Project in Botswana. The company plans to begin diamond drilling within weeks, focusing on the northern licences PL0773 and PL2743 and will also undertake expanded ionic soil sampling to refine target selection.
