MinIO Introduces AIStor Memory for Persistent AI Agent Storage

MinIO announced AIStor Memory, a new native data type designed to give AI agents durable, governed storage for memory, workspaces and secrets. The offering combines the functions of object storage, vector stores, metadata databases and secrets managers into a single system built on MinIO’s existing AIStor platform.

AIStor Memory can be accessed over HTTPS or mounted as a POSIX folder and works with existing AI tools and frameworks without code changes. MinIO highlights enterprise‑grade durability features such as erasure coding, bit‑rot protection, encryption and compression, ensuring data remain under customer‑controlled encryption keys.

The product targets use cases including software‑engineering agents handling large codebases, multi‑day research tasks and human‑in‑the‑loop workflows.
