Minions & Monsters arrives at Village Cinemas

The animated film ‘Minions & Monsters’, produced by Illumination and Universal Pictures, is arriving at Village Cinemas in Thessaloniki. Subtitled versions will be available starting August 20, followed by dubbed screenings on August 27.

Directed by Pierre Coffin, this third standalone installment in the franchise is set in the 1920s, predating the Minions' meeting with Gru. The plot follows two Minions, James and Henry, who become accidental Hollywood stars in the silent film era. Their fame falters with the advent of sound, leading them to use a stolen spellbook to create a horror film, which inadvertently summons real monsters that they must then contain.

The film features a voice cast including Jeff Bridges, Christoph Waltz, Allison Janney, Jesse Eisenberg, and Zoey Deutch. While the film received positive critical reception, including a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, its initial box office opening was the lowest in the franchise's history, earning approximately $61.4 million.
