Minisforum 895D7 outperforms Steam Machine in 4K gaming tests

The Minisforum 895D7 gaming PC has demonstrated significant performance advantages over the Steam Machine in 4K resolution tests. According to industry reports, the system achieves an average performance increase of 55 percent compared to the competing hardware.

In specific titles, the performance gap is even more pronounced. The Minisforum 895D7 outperformed the Steam Machine by up to 127 percent in ‘Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered’, 77 percent in ‘Shadow of the Tomb Raider’, and 44 percent in ‘Cyberpunk 2077’. In the latter, the device reached 26 FPS compared to the Steam Machine’s 19 FPS.

This performance is attributed to its hardware configuration, which includes a Ryzen 9 8945HX processor and a Radeon RX 9060 XT with 16 GB of graphics memory. The system utilizes the RDNA-4 architecture and supports technologies such as FSR 4, Frame Generation, and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR). However, the Minisforum 895D7 is priced higher at 1,739 euros (approximately 1,639 USD), while the Steam Machine is available for 1,039 euros (approximately 1,049 USD).
