Minister Abdul Bari's car crashes in Bogra, resulting in pedestrian death

A car carrying Abdul Bari, the State Minister for Public Administration and Food, crashed into a roadside ditch in Bogra's Shibganj area on Friday morning. The accident occurred while the minister was traveling from Dhaka toward his constituency in Joypurhat.

According to police, the incident happened when a pedestrian, identified as 55-year-old Phiroza Begum, suddenly stepped in front of the vehicle. In an attempt to avoid hitting her, the driver lost control, causing the car to veer off the Mokamtala-Joypurhat road.

While the minister and his wife sustained minor injuries, Phiroza Begum suffered a broken leg. She was rushed to TMSS Medical College Hospital, where she passed away later that day. Local police are currently handling the legal proceedings following the death.
