Minister Bimal Rathnayake tables corruption dossier in Parliament

Minister Bimal Rathnayake has tabled a 10-page dossier in Parliament detailing 50 cases of corruption, fraud, and criminal activity involving former ministers, senior state officials, and members of the Rajapaksa family.

Rathnayake rejected claims that the current administration is engaging in political revenge. He stated that the investigations are not new but stem from complaints and legal proceedings dating back to the 2015–2019 period. He argued that previous administrations had suppressed these investigations through political influence, whereas the current government is allowing investigators to work without interference.

The document lists several prominent political figures and major financial controversies, including the Central Bank bond transactions, the MiG aircraft procurement, the Krrish deal, and the Carlton Sports Network allegations.
