Minister Flávio Dino orders search and seizure against CNJ counselor
Supreme Federal Court Minister Flávio Dino has ordered precautionary measures against Ulisses Rabaneda, a counselor of the National Council of Justice (CNJ). The Federal Police conducted a search and seizure operation following suspicions of a R$ 308 million embezzlement scheme involving a 2024 agreement between the telecommunications company Oi and the state of Mato Grosso.
The court order includes the freezing of assets up to R$ 316 million and the seizure of passports. The investigation also reportedly involves a judge from the Mato Grosso Court of Justice and various influential local politicians.
