Minister Gjoko Velkovski visits Kumanovo to discuss social services

Minister of Social Policy, Demography and Youth Gjoko Velkovski conducted a working visit to the Municipality of Kumanovo to inspect social and child protection facilities. During the visit, Velkovski toured the “Angel Shajce” kindergarten, where new special education cabinets have been opened to support children with disabilities and promote inclusion.

Velkovski also addressed the future of the “Pioneer House,” a Ministry-owned building that has fallen into disrepair. He stated that the Ministry will coordinate with the Municipality of Kumanovo and the Government General Secretariat to determine the building's future use. In the interim, the facility will be closed to ensure public safety.

Additionally, the Minister announced that project documentation for a new kindergarten in the “Zelen Rid” neighborhood is now complete. The Municipality of Kumanovo is expected to apply for funding through the capital investment support program to proceed with the construction.
