Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş opens Tuzla daycare center

Turkey’s Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, attended the opening ceremony of the Eczacı Melahat Oğuzbeyi Daycare Center in Tuzla. This facility is the first ministry-approved daycare center for the Tuzla Municipality.

During the event, Göktaş highlighted that early childhood is a matter of future development rather than just care. She noted that a new regulation implemented on June 27 aims to standardize the safety and health requirements for nurseries and daycare centers operated by both public institutions and municipalities.

According to the Minister, the application and review process for 345 municipal nurseries and daycare centers is currently underway across 25 provinces.
