Minister Glamočić promotes agricultural processing at Koceljeva festival

Dragan Glamočić, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management in a technical mandate, visited the 17th Winter Stores Festival in Koceljeva. During the visit, he emphasized that increasing the processing of domestic raw materials is a vital direction for the further development of Serbian agriculture.

Glamočić noted that transforming raw materials like peppers and plums into finished products such as ajvar, jam, dried plums, or juice adds significant value, allowing farmers and family holdings to earn more. He stressed the importance of connecting producers with reliable buyers and processors to ensure a stable supply of quality domestic raw materials.

The festival, which began in 2009 with only seven local participants, has grown significantly, with last year hosting approximately 230 exhibitors. The minister highlighted the importance of involving youth, children, small family farms, and rural women in these initiatives to build successful businesses based on traditional knowledge.
