Minister Çiftçi announces 31,000 new school employment roles

Turkish Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi announced a new employment initiative to hire 31,000 garden staff for schools. This program, supported by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, aims to improve school security and provide significant employment opportunities.

During a visit to Bilecik, Çiftçi also emphasized the Ministry of Interior's commitment to combating drug trafficking and organized crime. He stated that the government is actively pursuing criminals who flee abroad, asserting that they will be tracked down and brought to justice regardless of where they hide.

Çiftçi highlighted recent cooperation with Georgia, noting that 438 individuals have been extradited from Georgia to Turkey in the first eight months of this year. He also mentioned a joint operation conducted by Turkish and Georgian police on August 23-24, which resulted in the apprehension of 22 suspects, 11 of whom were immediately extradited to Turkey.
