Minister Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim highlights national development and women's leadership

Nigeria’s Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has highlighted the contributions of various leaders to national development during recent engagements in Abuja.

At a ceremony in Abuja marking the 43rd birthday of aviator and politician Isaac Balami, the Minister expressed confidence in his future contributions to the country. The event, attended by over 4,000 guests including political leaders and business figures, featured remarks from Olumide Akpata, who noted Balami’s achievements in the aviation industry and his founding of a university.

In a separate engagement, Minister Sulaiman-Ibrahim met with APC women political leaders from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). She assured the delegation of her commitment to protecting women's interests and supporting their participation in governance. The FCT APC women leaders, led by Hajiya Farida Odangi Suleiman, expressed appreciation for the Minister’s interventions regarding women and children and discussed the importance of empowerment initiatives for political mobilization.
