Minister Isabel Rodríguez visits Ibiza affordable housing project
Spanish Housing Minister Isabel Rodríguez visited the Ca n’Escandell urbanization works in Ibiza, where the state company Casa 47 plans to build 532 affordable rental apartments. The project aims to prioritize public space for coexistence, a model the Minister described as symbolic of the current government's urban vision.
Casa 47 will directly manage the construction of 362 units on specific plots, while land owned by the State and the Ibiza City Council will be transferred to Ibavi for the remaining protected housing. Once completed, these properties will return to the state public housing stock. The Minister also indicated an interest in limiting housing purchases by foreigners to protect local access to the market.
