Minister Ivan Shishkov begins inspection tour of four Bulgarian regions

Bulgarian Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Ivan Shishkov, has launched a two-day working tour across Northeastern and Northern Bulgaria. The tour is part of a new Ministry initiative titled ‘The Regions Speak,’ aimed at finding rapid solutions for critical water and sewage (ViK) infrastructure and the national road network.

The itinerary includes inspections in Varna, Dobrich, Shumen, and Pleven. In Varna, Shishkov and Deputy Minister Pavleta Pelovska will inspect illegally built territories in the ‘Baba Alino’ area. In Dobrich, discussions will focus on the severe water supply crisis and the state of the local water network.

The tour will also address road safety and pavement conditions on the I-4 national road between Targovishte and Omurtag in the Shumen region. The visit concludes with meetings and a media briefing in Pleven, involving officials from the Road Infrastructure Agency and the Bulgarian Water Holding.
