Minister Meutya Hafid introduces T3 principle for digital archiving

Communication and Digital Affairs Minister Meutya Hafid has identified the ‘T3 principle’—connected, growing, and protected—as the essential foundation for digital archiving in Indonesia. The initiative aims to deliver integrated data management and enhance the efficiency of government programs.

During an internal archival oversight event in Jakarta, Hafid emphasized that accurate recording must be a standard work habit to ensure transparent and accountable digital governance. The ‘Connected’ aspect focuses on integrating data across work units to support decision-making, while the ‘Growing’ aspect utilizes archives as a tool for organizational learning and process improvement.

The ‘Protected’ component of the principle stresses the necessity of maintaining the security, integrity, confidentiality, and sustainability of archives in compliance with existing regulations.
