Acre officials advance housing and infrastructure investments

The Minister of Cities, Antônio Vladimir Moura Lima, visited Rio Branco, Acre, to inspect the Residencial Cidade Alta housing project. The development, which is 52% complete, involves an investment of R$ 34.1 million. The Minister noted that federal investments in Acre for housing and infrastructure exceed R$ 1.1 billion, with the Minha Casa, Minha Vida program accounting for R$ 510.8 million in contracted units.

Simultaneously, the Acre state government has announced a budget reallocation of R$ 71.6 million to bolster sectors including health, education, housing, and infrastructure. Significant funds are directed toward information technology, healthcare services, and municipal housing access.

In response to environmental challenges, Rio Branco is implementing preventive measures against severe drought, focusing on water supply and fire prevention. Meanwhile, in Amapá, environmental authorities are intensifying inspections and educational campaigns to combat wildfires during the dry season.
