Minister of Culture presents annual awards in Bielsko-Biała

The Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Marta Cienkowska, held an annual awards gala in Bielsko-Biała, the country’s first Polish Capital of Culture. The ceremony, held on September 12 at the OKO Amphitheater, honored recipients across 14 different categories.

Renowned actor Janusz Gajos received an award for his lifetime achievement in film, theater, and television. In the music category, composer and arranger Hania Derej was recognized for her work. During the event, Minister Cienkowska emphasized that the state's role is to create conditions for culture to flourish rather than merely treating it as a cost or decoration.
