Minister Sanjay Sharma protests in Alwar over sanitation worker appointments

Rajasthan State Minister for Forests, Sanjay Sharma, staged a protest at the Alwar Municipal Corporation office on Wednesday to support sanitation workers regarding delayed appointments. The protest follows a dispute over the recruitment of 69 candidates under a 2012 hiring process, which the Rajasthan High Court had previously directed the corporation to fulfill.

Minister Sharma expressed strong dissatisfaction with the District Collector and the Municipal Commissioner, alleging that despite months of discussions, the issuance of appointment letters was halted. He reported that members of the Valmiki community informed him that officials had refused to provide the documents. Sharma stated he would not end his protest until the workers receive their appointment letters and noted that he has informed the Chief Minister’s Office of the situation.
