Minister Takebe visits Typhoon 25 damage sites in Chiba

Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Minister Takebe visited Chiba Prefecture to inspect damage caused by Typhoon 25 in September. During the visit, the Minister examined eel farms and processing facilities near Lake Inba in Narita City, which suffered flooding after embankments breached due to record-breaking rainfall.

Following discussions with Chiba Governor Kumagai, Minister Takebe emphasized the need for support measures based on direct feedback from the affected areas. He stated his intention to work toward the rapid recovery of facilities, including agricultural water systems, to ensure that farming operations can resume without hindrance by 2027.
