Minister Tank Ram Verma inaugurates PDS building in Tandwa

Revenue and Higher Education Minister Tank Ram Verma inaugurated a newly constructed Public Distribution System (PDS) building in Tandwa village, Tilda block, at a cost of 11.76 lakh rupees. The facility is intended to provide easier and more transparent access to rations for local residents, eliminating the need for villagers to travel long distances.

During the event, Minister Verma highlighted various government welfare initiatives, including the Jal Jeevan Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and Jan Dhan Yojana. He noted that in the Tandwa panchayat alone, 420 new houses have been approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, with construction currently underway.

The inauguration is part of the ‘Seva aur Sankalp Mahabhiyan’ campaign, which was launched on September 17 to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vishwakarma Jayanti. The Minister emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring that essential services like electricity, water, and housing reach the most marginalized citizens.
