Minister Vedat Işıkhan discusses employment and development in Yozgat

Turkish Minister of Labour and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan met with business leaders and officials in Yozgat to discuss employment and regional development. During the visit, Yozgat Governor Mehmet Ali Özkan noted that nearly 3 billion lira in support has been provided to the province through İŞKUR in the last year alone.

Işıkhan shared significant employment data, noting that the number of citizens placed in jobs via İŞKUR in Yozgat has risen to 6,041 in 2025, compared to just 831 in 2002. He reported that since 2002, a total of 80,929 citizens have been placed in jobs through the agency. Additionally, over 2.6 billion lira has been provided through Community Benefit Programs and Labour Adaptation Programs.

Addressing broader national goals, Işıkhan emphasized the importance of strengthening the link between vocational training and the labor market to prepare youth for future professions. He also spoke on the vision of a 'Terror-free Turkey,' stating that achieving this goal is essential for national development and will benefit the country's 86 million citizens by allowing energy to be directed toward economic growth rather than security issues.
