Siddaramaiah files police complaint over alleged fake sting operation
Former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has lodged a formal police complaint and obtained a civil court injunction to prevent the circulation of a video he claims is a “fake sting operation.” Siddaramaiah asserts the doctored footage is a political conspiracy designed to blackmail and defame him following his departure from power.
His son, Minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah, has alleged that members of the Congress party were involved in the conspiracy to tarnish his father’s reputation. He called for a comprehensive investigation, suggesting the operation was orchestrated by political rivals to create a “black mark” on Siddaramaiah’s 40-year career.
Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has also weighed in, accusing the Congress leadership of internal rivalry and claiming that the sting operation was a product of intra-party politics. Kumaraswamy questioned why the state government has not taken stricter action against the individuals allegedly responsible for the video and criticized the handling of the investigation.
