Minister Yusuf Tekin to visit Trabzon for school openings and gastronomy project

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin is scheduled to visit Trabzon to participate in several official programs. A key event includes the opening ceremony of the Trabzon Education Complex in Maçka, which consists of three schools and a student dormitory donated to the Ministry by Turgut Aydın Holding. The ceremony is set for September 22, 2026.

Additionally, Minister Tekin announced that a protocol has been signed to establish a gastronomy school in Trabzon. This project is part of a broader initiative to create seven gastronomy schools across Turkey’s seven regions under the patronage of Emine Erdoğan. The school in Trabzon will focus on local culinary culture, specifically targeting training in hazelnut, chocolate, and pastry arts.

The proposed gastronomy school will feature a specialized structure including a professional kitchen for food and dessert preparation, an educational building, and a restaurant for service training and hospitality.
