Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry updates raw milk support
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has introduced new regulations regarding support for raw milk producers. According to the updated Communiqué on Raw Milk Support and Regulation of the Milk Market, an additional support coefficient of 0.3 will be provided for chilled raw milk collected and sold to processing facilities by personnel holding professional qualification certificates.
To qualify for this additional support, certified copies of these professional qualification documents must be submitted to provincial or district directorates of agriculture and forestry. The regulation also establishes new registration requirements for cooling tanks based on capacity. For collection centers with a total capacity of 10 tons or more, at least one collection and one storage function must be matched with a cooling tank and recorded in the Ministry's system. For centers with a capacity below 10 tons, recording at least one collection or storage function is sufficient. These changes are set to take effect on January 1, 2026.
