Ministry of Agriculture begins flood prevention project in Dikmen

The Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources has officially launched a project to construct a reinforced concrete improvement terrace on the Yukarı Dikmen Kuzeybatı Havzası Stream. The initiative aims to protect water resources, utilize rainwater, and mitigate flood risks exacerbated by climate change.

A contract has been signed between Ceyda Construction Ltd. and the Department of Water Affairs following a tender process. Minister Hüseyin Çavuş stated that the project is part of a long-term strategy to strengthen infrastructure against changing precipitation patterns. The structure is designed to control water during extreme rainfall and support the replenishment of underground water resources, turning potential flood threats into valuable water assets.
