Ministry of Agriculture celebrates animal protection education achievements

Taiwan's Ministry of Agriculture held a results presentation on October 17 at the National Taiwan Arts Education Center to showcase the achievements of its animal protection education initiative. Spanning 2025 to 2026, the program focused on embedding animal welfare values within families and schools.

The initiative utilized an original stage play titled ‘The Wandering Diary of Boss Black Cat and Archi’ to teach children core principles such as responsible pet ownership, registration, and sterilization. Over the two-year period, the program conducted 15 large-scale theater performances and 82 school tours, reaching over 35,000 participants with a 98% satisfaction rate.

In addition to live performances, the project produced a 10-episode podcast series to extend its educational reach. The program’s innovative approach to public animal protection education was recognized with a gold award at the 2025 London Design Awards.
