Salto producers to receive $178.5 million in agricultural aid
The Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries (MGAP) has announced $178.5 million in financial support for 306 producers in the Salto department. This measure is part of the response to the agricultural emergency caused by a severe storm that struck the region on July 18.
The assistance mechanism will be implemented in two stages. Initially, producers will receive a non-reimbursable base support of up to US$ 12,000. For those establishments that suffered more significant damage, a complement can be accessed, allowing for a maximum total of US$ 40,000 per producer.
